![]() Most of the outer posts are just meant to be lookouts, and you shouldn't expect to hold most of them for long. Don't let the mortars blow up all your mines. I placed AT guns and Mortars at the edges of the hilltop. If you didn't take out the Arty in the previous mission, they will be wiped out. Don't keep any units in the trenches at the top of the hill, until you need to defend the top of the hill. This will slow them down/spread them out as they stop to capture. During this time capture more munitions depots or CPs. ![]() You have five minutes before the Germans show up. ![]() I kept them as Engineers to repair gun nests, and the flamethrowers are a nasty surprise. Upgrade your engineers to use flamethrowers, or assign them to some of that heavy weaponry that's lying around. Build a couple well-placed machine gun nests on the approaches. Then place a buttload of mines on the ways leading up the hill. Recruit one more Engineer and quickly build Outposts at the Munitions depots. I would not feel comfortable with only the reinforcements, and I suspect you will want to try the battle for Hill 341 (12) again. I have 3 partial Ranger units (8 men total), one regular infantry unit, one mortar crew, one engineer crew and one halftrack. I feel comfortable going into Counterattack (13). I was saved by the time, as the hill was overrun and I was barely able to keep them from taking the Control Point at the last. I just beat the previous mission on hard difficulty, on my second try.
